Loewe is the Spanish leather goods and maroquinerie known for the refined lines of its accessories and for the great care taken with its materials. The brand owes its name to the leather craftsman Heinrich Loewe Rössberg of German origin, who created a high-quality production in Madrid by combining the rigor and method typical of his culture of origin with the sensuality, creativity and expertise in leather processing typical of the Spanish tradition. For these reasons, in 1905 it became the official supplier of the Royal House of Spain. Over time, the company oriented itself towards the complete panorama of accessories and prêt-à-porter, and towards the end of the 1960s the brand became synonymous with a luxury product that began to establish itself on the international market. Since 1996, the brand has been part of the LVMH group: this has allowed the company to collaborate with designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani, Laura Biagiotti and Narciso Rodriguez, who have designed the women’s collections. Since 2013, Jonathan Anderson has become the creative director of the maison.
