CHRISTIAN Lacroix

After collaborating with Hérmes and Patou, in 1987 he founded the Christian Lacroix fashion house. A lover of theatricality, he emphasizes everything that is sensual, cheerful and opulent, recovering the values ​​of Mediterranean culture, especially the traditions and customs of the south of France and Provence, his homeland. Curious are the red heels that appear from time to time in his collections and that are inspired by those in vogue among the nobles at the court of Versailles. In 2001 the brand was absorbed by the French group LVMH and the following year Lacroix became artistic director of the Florentine fashion house Emilio Pucci. Since 2010 the designer has dedicated himself mainly to his own design company XCLX.
