NICHOLAS Kirkwood

After studying at the prestigious design schools of Central Saint Martins and Cordwainers College, Kirkwood entered the fashion world with his eponymous brand in 2005 at just 25 years old. Intent on challenging the conventions of luxury women’s footwear, Kirkwood creates pieces with a sculptural look, emphasizing craftsmanship. The young English designer’s designs immediately won over critics, winning several awards including the British Fashion Award for Best Acessory Designer of the year (received three times). In 2013, the LVMH Group began collaborating with Kirkwood, who has also been involved in the brand’s international expansion for a long time. In 2023, Nicholas decided to close the fashion house, in search of a new, more sustainable brand model in line with new climate emergencies.
